If you remember, I called recently to let you know that things were not working with the other care agency, my first choice when seeking in-home care for my husband. You shared that it would be okay for me to move on to another provider rather than wait for them to respond to my calls. I have since contacted PNW Aging and it has been a wonderful experience. We met with Debbie, one of their care managers, on Friday and created a plan to start services on September 11th. In addition, we heard back from our LTC carrier on Friday and they have accepted our claim. It is all coming together and I already feel like a load is coming off my shoulders.

I have used various care providers in the Vancouver area, 365 days a year for two shifts per day, for more than twenty years. Last night I received a phone call from a PNW Aging Caregiver Supervisor regarding my scheduled appointment. My regularly scheduled caregiver had a personal issue and was not able to meet the regularly scheduled appointment with me.
As I said, I’ve had a great deal of experience with a fair number of caregiver services, and that lady did her job exceptionally well. She recognized the problem, found solutions to it before calling me and alerting me to the issue, causing me unnecessary concern. I know this sounds basic but, she is one of the few people I’ve encountered that took the initiative and the additional step before calling me. She is a “keeper” and is to be commended! ”
